Parliament House

Distance from Carotel: 10km / 13 min

Parliament House is open to visitors every day of the year except for Christmas Day. The building is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm during non-sitting weeks and later during sitting weeks. Please refer to the calendar or contact Visitor Services on 02 6277 5399 for more information.

National Gallery of Australia

Distance from Carotel: 11.8km / 15 min

The National Gallery of Australia’s collections include more than 160,000 works of art across four main areas: Australian art, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander art, Asian art and European and American art.

Works in the Gallery are part of Australia’s national collection. They belong to the people of Australia and are preserved and presented for their enjoyment and education. It is the Gallery’s intention to make the collection as widely appreciated as possible both in Australia and overseas.

Dickson Precinct

Distance from Carotel: 4.5km / 6min

Eat your way around the world in Dickson! Try a meal in the small flourishing China Town. Choose from Vietnamese, Malaysian, Turkish, Italian, Indian, Thai and Ethiopian. Try one of Trinity Bar’s many cocktails. Drink fine ale and grab a steak at O’Neil’s Irish Pub. Eat a giant schnitzel at the Tradies Club. After you’ve eaten, get inspired at ANCA art gallery.
